How to Prepare for Your Upcoming Garage Door Installation?
Congratulations, your new garage door is here, and it is almost time to get it installed. While many dealers may offer installation services, in our experience, it is best to hire someone externally, like us. We’ve been Installing Garage Doors for over a decade and ensure that the door is installed with durability and longevity in mind using the latest tools that money can buy.
However, there are a couple of things you can do to prepare for the Upcoming Installation. None of what we describe is challenging but will undoubtedly make the installation safer and quicker.
Move Out All Your Vehicles From the Garage
Now, if you keep all your vehicles in the garage like most people, you might want to move them out onto the street before the installation begins. In fact, you will want to move them as far as possible from the driveway, which will allow the installer to back their vehicle into your driveway near the opening for the garage door. Giving the installation crew as much space as possible makes the installation quicker and safer; it also reduces the odds of there being any damage done to your vehicles.
Clear The Garage
Once you have moved the cars out, you will also want to remove all tools, trash cans, equipment, and other hardware from the garage. You can move it to the rear of the garage or outside. At least make sure that the front of your garage door is empty. Not only will this allow the installer more space to work, but it will also make sure that none of your belongings are damaged during the installation process.
Your kids and Pets Should Be Kept As Far as Possible
The removal of your garage door and the installation of the new one can be dangerous. Our crew, for instance, uses some heavy-duty tools, which in addition to making quite a racket, can also be dangerous. That’s why we strongly advise that the only people onsite be our work crew until the process is complete. Our team works hard and fast so that we are out of your hair in no time.
Prepare All the Questions You Have
Finally, you will want to make sure that you have written down all the questions you have for the installation crew. Our professional installation crew will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have about the process before we start. We will also answer any questions you have about safety inspections, maintenance and warranty.
Alternatively, if you have a question after we’ve left, feel free to call us. Our team will readily answer any questions you have over the phone.
Getting a garage door installed is easier and faster than it ever was before. Unlike in the past, our installation crew come equipped with the latest tools that money can buy. That’s why it’s easier and faster for them to take out the old garage door and replace it with a new one in a short time.
